We have compiled a list of some of the greatest men in history who also happen to be Masons.
Men of all ethnic and religious backgrounds are welcome, 2B1 ASK1 today.
Our Lodge serves the Greater Temecula Valley, including Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, Winchester, Wildomar and surrounding communities in Southern California. Chartered in 1922 on Catalina Island, we were moved in 1989 to Temecula, Ca. If you want information on what Masonry is all about or you are interested in membership to a Masonic Lodge, please feel free to use this website for information or contact us directly.
All Masons, prospective Masons, and Soujourners are invited to participate in our events, and Masons from all Lodges are invited to attend our Stated Meetings and Degrees. Our Stated Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at 7:00pm at the Temecula Masonic Center, and degree work is generally done at the same location on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm with refreshments and fellowship to follow.
Finally, feel free to review our monthly newsletter; it can be found in the Trestleboard section of this website or click here for the latest News from the Quarries. Thank you for taking a moment to peruse our website and have a great day!
First and foremost I would like to thank you for sending me to the Masters and Wardens retreat in Irvine. I learned a lot and had the opportunity to spend some time with officers from lodges around the area.
One of the things that stood out to me was something that Very Worshipful Allan Casalou, Grand Lodge Secretary, said during the “State of the Fraternity” speech. He spoke of a time in the 1800’s when Masons were persecuted and even arrested in Europe for being part of the frater-nity. At the time, Masons had to hide and keep their lodges secret from the rest of society because if it became known that they were Masons, they would have been arrested. Masons, despite the fact that they would have been sent to jail, persisted in carrying forth our ancient customs because they knew that what we held so dear was important to the world. They met in secret and behind closed doors and carried on their daily lives not letting on that they held the secret to life in their ritual. My first thought was to wonder why any government would arrest someone and send him off to jail for meeting to perform rituals that have been passed down since before the pharaohs ruled over Egypt. What was it that they were trying to prevent?
Then, Very Worshipful Casalou said something that really hit home. He said, “If you were to be arrested for being a Mason, would there be enough evidence to convict?” I would like you to think about that. What have YOU done to push your lodge forward? Are you there on Monday nights contributing to your lodge? We all joined the fraternity for a reason. What was your reason? Have you really taken the time to become a Mason and really learn what it is that we are all about? Are you showing up to lodge every Monday to make this fraternity meaningful in the Temecula area?
I would like to invite all of the brothers that have not been to lodge for a while to come back and find what you were looking for. Make time and show up. The reason you joined is probably right within your reach. Hope to see you all soon.
